One of my favorite ongoing projects involves designing materials for my neighborhood's annual block party. With 300+ attendees each year, getting the word out is no small feat. I created a logo for the party that is displayed on the yard and pole signs I designed, along with a paper invitation and graphics for the party's online platforms like the registration site, neighborhood listserv, and Facebook Group. The party is a 100% volunteer effort and the planning team has almost as much fun planning the party as we do attending it. We love the neighborhood so it is always a great time and a rewarding effort.
